New York State
THE NEW PROFESSIONAL 'VISION 2020' NYSRPS CONFERENCE REGISTRATION SCHOLARSHIP
SPONSORED BY THE WESTCHESTER RECREATION AND PARK SOCIETY (WRAPS)
Each year, WRAPS strives to provide park and recreation professionals with the ability to attend continued education opportunities through various means such as monthly seminars, scholarships to students in the field of Parks and Recreation, and fellowships that provide members with financial support to attend management school, certification courses and conferences. We understand, as budgets have been cut by local municipalities and counties statewide, funding for continued education has diminished. This places the financial burden of attending valuable learning opportunities on the individual. Often, new professionals do not have the financial means to register out of pocket and therefore are unable to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them. WRAPS is committed to offering new professionals across New York State, who we consider the future of our great profession, financial assistance to attend the Vision 2020 NYSRPS Conference and Expo. More specifically, WRAPS is offering to sponsor a minimum of $150 per qualified professional, 50% of a registration fee, to attend the Vision 2020 Conference. Final amounts will be determined after all sponsorship applications are received.
