Lake Placid… Closer Than You Think! Get there by plane, train, bus, or automobile. NYSRPS would like to help all have a chance to attend the 2019 REC Sumiit.

Yes, Lake Placid is located in the mountains of Northern New York, but that doesn’t mean they play hard to get to. In fact, it is less than a five hour drive from most major northeastern metropolitan areas, including New York City and Boston.

Rochester-Syracuse to Lake Placid          Westchester to Lake Placid

Transportation at a low $40 round trip price has been arranged to make this working vacation most affordable. Deluxe passenger motor coaches will feature high-back reclining seats, a restroom, DVD player w/monitor, PA/sounds system, and FUN!

AIRPORTS:  Located in Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and Plattsburgh.

BY TRAIN OR BUS: Railway access via Amtrak is available from New York City, Albany, and Montreal, with tickets that include a shuttle ride to Lake Placid directly from the Westport Station. Adirondack Trailways also offers service from Port Authority Bus Terminal and other terminals north of New York City, with drop off in the center of Lake Placid and Saranac Lake.

BY CAR: Take a short drive and find the perfect retreat! You’ll enjoy beautiful landscapes, well-maintained roads, and plenty of amenities as you travel through the Adirondacks. A beautiful road trip to behold…
