  • Explore Lower Manhattan!! The bus will drop-off the group in lower Manhattan where you can visit the 9/11 Museum. Other sites within walking distance in this area include: Battery Park, Statute of Liberty, Staten Island Ferry, South Street Seaport, 1 World Observatory, Oculus, Hudson River Park, Brooklyn Bridge, Canyon of Heroes, Trinity Church and more.

    Leave Tarrytown Marriott at 3pm, leave for return to Tarrytown at 9pm

    Trip Minimum (including transportation only riders): 25 Maximum: 40 Registration Deadline: March 21

  • Rockefeller State Park Preserve offers quiet, beautiful walks of all lengths through forested hills and valleys. Popular for walking, riding, jogging, and carriage driving, combinations of trails lead through varied landscapes and past natural and historical features. The forests, fields, streams, and wetlands support a high diversity of native species of resident and migratory birds, mammals, insects, amphibians, reptiles, fish and aquatic species. The Rockefeller Family donated over 1771 acres to the State of New York to safeguard these lands, which are managed by New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation.

  • Be one of the few who have ever set foot inside the state-of-the art Madison Square Garden Training Facility, the home of the NY Knicks and NY Rangers. Get a behind the scenes tour on the workings of the 105,000 square-foot facility, which features two basketball courts and one NHL regulation-sized hockey rink, office space, exercise rooms, steam rooms and locker rooms with dedicated equipment for each team, the latest technology and first-class amenities.

  • The Westchester County Center is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena in White Plains, New York. It hosts various regional and local concerts and sporting events for the area. The County Center was conceived by the Westchester Recreation Commission in 1924 as a multi-purpose indoor recreational facility to host community programs and income-producing commercial events. For nearly 95 years the County Center has been Westchester's premier setting for thousands of concerts, trade shows, sports events, meetings, seminars, theatrical presentations, conventions and civic and community events.

  • This interactive mobile workshop introduces parks and recreation professionals to the public private park partnership model through a walking tour of the most active sections of Central Park. Ideally suited for parks and recreation professionals in the early stages of developing a public private park partnership for their own parks, the tour will share Park history and the creation of the Central Park Conservancy, the private, nonprofit managing Central Park in partnership with the City of New York. By the end of the workshop, participants will have: 1) reviewed definitions of public private park partnerships and other park stewardship models; 2) reviewed principles for the successful partnership between the Central Park Conservancy and the City of New York; and 3) explored management and operations strategies to maintain Central Park. The mobile workshop is an outdoor walking tour, so appropriate clothing/footwear are recommended.

  • Get your Yankee tickets right here!!!No need to rush home, add one more night and join your fellow recreators after the conference at Yankee Stadium, “The House that Ruth Built”, as the New York Yankees take on the Detroit Tigers!
    $40.00 per person (includes ticket and transportation). You will still have to pay $40 even if you take your own transportation.

    Bus departs Tarrytown Marriott 5pm and returns after game concludes.
