'Vision 2020' COVID-19 Cancellation

The New York State Recreation and Park Society would like to thank all show registrants who have waited patiently these past couple of months for this final conference cancellation notification. The following information was provided to all via email on April 21st, 2020. We appreciate all who waited for final word from the NYSRPS Executive Board.

Although the conference was canceled due to COVID-19, there has been great enthusiasm for the show and the willingness to still support NYSRPS. It has been a wonderful surprise to see so many registrants that have reached out to NYSRPS asking how they might still be able to assist NY's park professionals.Take a moment to see the variety of ways you might apply your show payment, in lieu of a full refund. All credits and donations will surely help NYSRPS continue its mission to serve all leisure service professionals.

This year's 80th Anniversary Conference and Expo was poised to be one of the most successful shows in recent times, including financially. We understand many of our park departments, commercial partners and sponsors were in the same position looking forward to a terrific year. With uncertainty we completely understand your need for a refund and wish you all the best in coping with the months ahead.

Consider what fits best with your needs. All RSVPs for refunds, credits, and / or donations are asked for by May 22nd, 2020. Any non-respondents will be automatically given a credit after that date.

We hope you all take the remainder of this time in quarantine to be with your immediate family and enjoy the warmer days coming. While we do not know the exact date, we do know parks have been serving many and will be sought out in a much bigger way once the sign flips to "OPEN!".

Conference Attendees

For all who paid a registration fee, please consider a credit to future NYSRPS opportunities including membership renewal, educational opportunities, CEUs, and more. NYSRPS is currently working on partnerships that will extend webinars and the opportunity for CEUs through IRPA, American Trails, proValens Learning of Eppley Institute, for starters. More information will be available very soon- stay tuned!

Exhibitors / Sponsors

Commercial partners may consider a credit for advertising and educational promotional opportunities!  These would be extended on the NYSRPS website, featured in the VOICE, and all other marketing channels offered by NYSRPS including social media.

Exhibitors and Sponsors wishing to apply for a credit or donation, we will gladly showcase in an Exhibitor's Showcase in either the Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter issue of the 2020 Voice. This will include your business name, product description and contact information on pages that highlight the fact you sponsored NYSRPS by your conference payment. For inclusion in the Spring /Summer issue of the VOICE, please RSVP no later than Friday, April 24th.

Promotional opportunities will made available by NYSRPS so you may host your own webinar, be featured on the NYSRPS Commercial Engage page of the website and promoted though all marketing channels available, including social media. Use this opportunity to make great connections and showcase your latest products and services to a broader audience.

Sponsors are sought to support an educational series, as well. American Trails is working in cooperation with NYSRPS so terrific programs may be made available. This would be an incredible (and appreciated!) use of your show credit.

Silent Auction Donors

Thank you so much for your incredible generosity of a gift for the conference silent auction. If you are willing and able to extend the donation for future use, we would certainly appreciate it. Simply note your choice on the form and a representative will be following up shortly.

Presenters

NYSRPS is very pleased to share opportunities will be made available to present presentations via webinars sponsored by NYSRPS and/or affiliated partners. We are very excited to collaborate with American Trails and will be seeking all avenues that may be available to help you share your presentation information. Please indicate on the CONFERENCE CLOSE OUT APPLICATION if you may be interested in either webinars or future presentation opportunities.
