New York State
Recreation & Park Society

The NYSRPS Annual Conference is built upon the foundation of an excellent quality program. To meet the educational needs of our conference attendees, we would like to create diverse and relevant education sessions within our schedule.

We are seeking dynamic and engaging speakers to present that will inspire and inform our diverse audience of professionals within the field of parks and recreation. Our conference theme this year is "Falling for Rec". As a leader in your field, your insights could greatly benefit our attendees and contribute to the overall success of the conference.

The deadline to submit is May 2nd

In addition to roughly 30 traditional educational sessions, we are also planning to offer roundtable discussion sessions centered around a relevant topic and additional workshops.

Session tracks include (but are not limited to):

  • Professional Development/Leadership
  • Parks Facilities and Maintenance
  • Recreation Programming
  • Therapeutic Recreation

All presenters, including co-presenters, must complete the required proposal and submit a resume that substantiates expertise in the topic being presented. We will not approve any presentations focused on the sales of a particular product. Please submit a proposal to be considered for one of the limited session slots on the conference program.

The submissions will undergo a thorough review by our program committee, and all speakers will be notified of their status. For more information contact our Program Committee Chair, Kim O'Brien at kobrien@bedfordny.gov
